SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please do not submit, snail mail or email any submissions or material without prior consultation.

Please e-mail your brief descriptive query first, and if I am interested in seeing material, I will let you know how to proceed.

I am open to all kinds of subjects and genres, including general fiction, upmarket women’s fiction, BIPOC, novels that explore gender and sexuality / LGBTQ, mysteries and thrillers (less of the hardcore political kind), and some historical fiction.

I am looking for wonderful novels where the reader can fully immerse themselves in the characters lives and the novel’s setting – books that hit the sweet spot between literary and commercial. I grew up for several years in Israel and so love books about the Middle East.

Humor: I do like humor, and I am open to receiving queries for humor books.

To guide you a bit, some favorite authors of mine are: Anne Tyler, Ann Patchett, William Kent Kreuger, Brit Bennet, Donna Leon, Richard Russo, Amy Tan, Junot Diaz, Lisa See, Elizabeth Strout, Louise Penny, Daniel Silva, Sarah Waters, and Oscar Hijuelos.
